Infosys Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Infosys Limited, is an Indian multinational corporation that provides business consulting, information technology and outsourcing services. The company is headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Infosys is the second-largest Indian IT company after Tata Consultancy Services by 2017 revenue figures and the 596th largest public company in the world based on revenue.

An angry employee mentioned, "If I had 0 stars to give Infosys, I would. This is the worse foreign owned company. All the managers are untrained to work in the US and just came to get their H1 (WORK) visa approved and get a green card, no one is there to help you and guide you..Great amount of politics within the company and an employee just becomes a JOKE. Managers degrade/insult American workers as they just want to prove Americans are not capable for the job. Higher management has nothing to do with their American employees as they are here to get American citizenship. They create FAKE posts online but they only hire people whom they know and H1 Visa worker's VISA is expiring. Do not get stuck there unless you have a life and death situation"

Former Employee - Specialist Programmer says

"I worked at Infosys for about 6 months, and it was by far the worst job I have ever had. The work day started at 6:30am with a phone call to India with a verbally abusive and wildly incompetent manager. This phone call would sometimes last two hours. Other people had their phone calls at 11pm at night, rather than the morning, but a daily phone call to India was the norm. Most of the team I worked with was in India, which made contacting them difficult, and even when contacted they were often uncooperative. Anytime anything went wrong with the code, the question was never "How can we fix this?" but "Who can we blame?" kicking off a multi day long process of bickering about whether or not the issue even existed, and if it did, whose fault it was. This happened almost every week. There were no real career advancement options for Americans, and this became clear very quickly. Management was also dishonest, and misled me on multiple occasions. Compensation was also abysmal, justified by false promises of massive raises further down the line that were locked behind herculean tasks that we were clearly never expected to be able to complete. The benefits were also very poor. Infosys also did not give me the tools I needed to succeed at my job, but expected me to succeed anyways. I held an entry level position, but was expected to have senior level knowledge almost daily. The quality of the training materials was also incredibly poor, with the materials often being outdated and written in English so broken that it was incomprehensible, but completing the training was still mandatory. In person training was no better either."

"INfosys Bpm runs like a average domestic call centre with the same beurucracy and outward artificial diplomacy with authoratitive govt. styled management . Runs in circles for any complaints from management and back to target the complainant."

Associate consultant (Former Employee) says

"This company is only meant for those who always wants to be in their comfort zone and the most important point is the nativity. If someone belongs to the state where infosys offices are there, they might like it but otherwise waste of one's career. No hike, no work culture and worst management"

Solution Architect (Former Employee) says

"On the plus side, I was paid by Infosys for 4 months and did little to nothing. I was rarely called and sat at home doing nothing. If that works for you then by all means sign up."

Senior Software Engineer (Former Employee) says

"No appreciation is given to employees as only boot licking culture works here. If you want to see how actual politics work, join Infosys. Only 2-3% hike is given on the name of appraisal, even that can be taken back by manager if you are not his/her favourite."

Process Engineer (Former Employee) says

"All they care about is offshoring as many jobs as they can to India. They don’t pay well and management doesn’t care about you. I wasted over 10 years of my life with them and don’t miss the company one bit There are MUCH better jobs out there"

Senior Storage Engineer (Current Employee) says

"They do not follow their own rules, they lie to your face about working remotely, do not follow the laws of america, and tried to extort me for money after I left the company. Withholding my bonus pay and they terminated me without letting me claim my expenses and tried to dock it from my pay. Eventually I had to use some methods to get my check in full, thank the heavens god was with me! Oh yes, they also sent me to the wrong location, which was chicago, did not reimburse me for lodging for a month. Came to find out that I was sent to the wrong location, the correct location was indianapolis. This is a slave masters job, stay away!"

Thomas Jensen says

"I do not know where to start. 1. sending basic and senior consultants to take over infrastructure in a high level production company, so sad to see how they get more and more frustrated and confused on their lack of knowledge and business understanding.... 2. they have no clue of how it is in the real world, only knows what they are told by managers, knowledge level is poor even for senior consultants. 3. their english is impossible to understand, how on earth can such company send people out, who people cannot understand. 4. their managers cannot take a decision by them selfs, way of commands are too heavy and slow. I recommand european companies to keep away from InfoSys, they may be cheap, but the time used to tell the same over and over again looses money....and time."
